The Garseh book collection consists of three bookstores and stationery shops, children’s books, and toys on the ground floor of the Erike Melal in Salarieh, Qom. The children’s and teenagers’ section gained access to the existing space by demolishing a portion of the middle wall.

The concept is “In search of knowledge.”

Idea and Design Development:

(Ambiguity, Readability, Discovery)

With the increasing use of digital technology in our lives, people don’t have much interest in shopping in physical stores anymore, except for the fun and enjoyment of the experience. That’s why we planned this project to turn shopping spaces into immersive experiences, providing opportunities for learning and practice.

The nature of a scenario-driven and diverse program, as opposed to traditional store functions, could introduce both ambiguity and readability into the design process for immersive and exciting experiences.

The purpose of complicating the circulation was an effort to confront new and unforeseen spatial experiences. This was done in a way that suspends the destination for the sake of exploration and discovering different perspectives. This enables children and teenager, through the discovery of spaces, to seek awareness along their life journey, realistically engaging with its ups and downs. It paves the way for them to embark on the journey of self-realization and growth in the process of becoming individuals.

Along with the commitment to the dual-emotion visual diagram, arising from the ambiguity of spaces, personality, and the coordination of circulation paths on suspended platforms and stairs, it is intervened to create a unified and homogeneous space. This enables us to extend social impact and interaction with urban space.
