the site of “LIVING YARD” project with dimensions of 16 x 75 meters, is located in Vakilabad lands of Mashhad. One of the most important design priorities in this project is provision of an extended view between the outside and inside space by creating a depth of field and organizing the layers of spaces. In-site circulation based on quick and direct access to the private yard and indoor pool has also been one of the influential factors.
On the other hand, the elongation of the project site necessitated a smaller yard in the middle of the mass. This private courtyard provided a limited view for the main bedroom of the project and the sport space. A maximized view to the outside and inside of the site is provided by creating two terraces adjacent to the private yard and the main facade of the building. The villa has several spaces such as cinema, indoor pool, 5 bedrooms with appropriate views and sport space. The large living room, as the intersection of the atmosphere, acts as an intermediary between the terrace and the corridor connected to the backyard.
Creating spatial quality by using transparency, visibility, dynamism in space and porosity in the body of the building has led to a feeling of vitality and strengthens of the main idea which is “the living yard”.
