با قطعیت می‌توان گفت در چهار دهه‌ی اخیر کسی را نمی‌توان تاثیرگذارتر از ایشان در زمینه‌ی ترویج فرهنگ دست آزاد، کروکی و اسکیس ایران دانست. فرهنگی که دانشجویان معماری را با طبیعت، سفر، حضور و تحلیل حضوری آثار معماری آشنا می‌کند.

ایشان با سفرهای بسیار زیاد خود به تمام نقاط ایران (بیش از 200 سفر در سال)، با تالیف اولین کتاب‌های آموزشی اسکیس، راندو و دست آزاد، با آموزش بیش از 16 هزار نفر از دانشجویان معماری ایران، معرفی و تدوین آثار دانشجویان هنرمند و با استعداد ایران، ترویج آموزش حضوری و غیرحضوری دانشگاهی و غیردانشگاهی برای در دسترس شدن آموزش اسکیس معماری، با تثبیت این آموزش‌ها و حمایت از مدرسان جوان و هنرمندان جدید و حمایت از کلاس‌ها، آثار و هنرشان، با راه‌اندازی پیج‌ها و سایت‌ها و فضاهای مجازی عمومی و برگزاری دو سالانه‌ها و نمایشگاه‌ها، باعث شکل‌گیری اتفاقی نوین در تسلط به دست آزاد در ایران در تمام شهرهای ایران شده‌اند، به گونه‌ای که هیچ شهری نیست که در حال حاضر دانشجویان و اساتید صاحب قلم، هنرمند و مسلط به اسکیس در ایران نداشته باشد. این اتفاق شاید ظاهر ماجرا باشد، در عمق این ماجرا با نسلی در معماری روبرو خواهیم شد که به طبیعت، تاریخ، فرهنگ و به سرزمین خود افتخار کنند.

مرتضی صدیق متولد اول فروردین 1355 شهر لالجین همدان و دانش‌آموخته‌ی ممتاز دکتری علم و صنعت ایران در سال 1389 است. ایشان از سال 1378 مشغول تدریس در دانشگاه علم و صنعت ایران در رشته‌های معماری، شهرسازی و طراحی صنعتی در دروس تخصصی اسکیس بوده‌اند و به صورت همزمان به عنوان استاد مدعو در دانشگاه‌های شهید رجایی تهران، هنر اسلامی تبریز، فردوسی مشهد، جندی شاپور خوزستان، انقلاب اسلامی تهران، دانشگاه‌های آزاد اسلامی واحد تهران شمال و تهران جنوب، دانشگاه‌های غیرانتفاعی علم و فرهنگ، دیلمان لاهیجان و ده‌ها دانشگاه دیگر مشغول تدریس دروس بیان معماری، اسکیس، طراحی دست آزاد و طراحی معماری در مقاطع کارشناسی و کارشناسی ارشد معماری بوده و هستند.

ایشان در بیش از120 دانشگاه و موسسه آموزش عالی کشور، صدها ورکشاپ، کارگاه، سمینار تخصصی راندو، اسکیس و روند طراحی معماری داشته‌اند و موفق به اخذ بیش از 50 تائیدیه گواهی معتبر دانشگاهی در این زمینه شده‌اند. مرتضی صدیق از سال 1378 تا به امروز موفق به تالیف 60 عنوان کتاب تخصصی در زمینه اسکیس، راندو و پرسپکتیو شده‌اند که از میان این کتاب‌ها 7 عنوان به عنوان منابع معرفی شده وزارت علوم و تحقیقات و فناوری برای دروس تخصصی پایه معماری در حوزه اسکیس، راندو، بیان معماری، پرسپکتیو، گرافیک سایت و درک و بیان معماری می‌باشند. کتاب معماری رنگ ایشان به عنوان اولین کتاب تخصصی دروس پایه معماری ترجمه شده به انگلیسی در ایران است و همچنین کتاب بوم و اقلیم به زبان تصویر، نامزد برترین کتاب سال معماری ایران شد و کتاب آموزش راندو و آموزش کروکی پرتیراژترین کتاب‌های آموزش معماری ایران شناخته شده‌اند.

بارها کتاب‌های ایشان به عنوان کتاب‌های منتخب دانشگاه‌ها، مسابقات و جشنواره‌های کتاب معماری مورد تقدیر و تشکر قرار گرفته‌اند. از جمله این کتاب‌ها، آموزش راندو با بیش از 70 هزار تیراژ، آموزش کروکی با بیش از 70 هزار تیراژ، آموزش اسکیس با بیش از 40 هزار تیراژ و در مجموعه کتاب‌های ایشان با نشر بیش از صدها هزار نسخه، تاثیر چشم‌گیری در همگانی کردن آموزش اسکیس در سطح کشور ایران داشته است.

این مولف در حال حاضر بیش از 10 عنوان کتاب جدید در دست چاپ دارد و ویرایش هنری و علمی 8 عنوان کتاب را برعهده داشته‌اند. وی طی این سال‌ها با چاپ اسکیس‌های حضوری از تمام اماکن ایران در کتاب‌های کروکی، آثار فاخر معماری ایران را معرفی نموده‌اند. در مجموعه‌ی طرح‌هایی از فضاهای معماری ایران و واگویه‌های تهران نشر شهرداری تهران، آثار بی‌نظیر اسکیس ایشان به انتخاب برترین هنرمندان ایران به چاپ رسیده است، البته این آثار در نمایشگاه‌های تخصصی در معرض بازدید عموم هنرمندان ایران قرار گرفت. حاصل ترسیم این آثار برگزاری ده‌ها نمایشگاه معتبر هنری از جمله: نمایشگاه واگویه‌های تهران واقع در خانه هنرمندان ایران، نمایشگاه گالری برسام، نمایشگاه کروکی موسسه‌ی رویدادهای فنی مهندسی صبا (خانه وارطان)، نمایشگاه مکث و خیال و … بوده است و به قطع می‌توان ایشان را به عنوان در دسترس‌ترین و پاسخگوترین استاد معماری ایران برای دانشجویان و هنرجویان دانست.

For the last four decades, no one can be more influential in promoting Iranian free-hand, croquis and sketch culture in Iran. A culture that introduces architecture students to nature and travel and to the presence and analysis of architectural works.
With his many trips to all parts of Iran (more than 200 trips per year), he has authored the first sketch, Rando and free-hand textbooks, and by training more than 16,000 Iranian architecture students, by introducing and compiling the works of talented Iranian students, by promoting in-person and distance academic and non-academic education for accessing architectural sketching, by consolidating these trainings and supporting young instructors, new artists and supporting their classes, works and arts, launching pages, websites and public social media, and holding biennials and exhibitions, he has initiated a new trend of command of free-hand in Iran and all cities of Iran, such that there is no city that is deprived of skilled students and masters of sketching in Iran. This may be the surface of the story, in the depth of it, we will encounter a generation of architects who take pride in their nature, history, culture and homeland.
Morteza Seddigh was born on March 21, 1976 in Laljin, Hamedan, Iran. He graduated summa cum laude from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) with a PhD degree in 2010. He has been teaching specialized sketching courses in the fields of architecture, urban design and industrial design in IUST since 1999 and has been a visiting professor at Shahid Rajaee University of Tehran, Tabriz Islamic Art University, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Jundishapur University of Khuzestan, Islamic Revolution University of Tehran, North and South Tehran Branches of Islamic Azad University (IAU), Non-profit Science and Culture University, Deylaman Nonprofit University of Lahijan, and dozens of other universities, teaching architecture, sketch, free-hand drawing and architectural design courses at undergraduate and graduate programs.
He has had hundreds of workshops and specialized seminars on Rando, sketch and architectural design trend at more than 120 universities and institutes of higher education throughout the country, and has obtained more than 50 accredited academic certifications in this field. Morteza Seddigh has been the author of 60 specialized books in the field of sketch, Rando and perspective since 1999, out of which 7 have been introduced as references by the Ministry of Science and Technology for specialized courses in architecture, for areas of sketch, Rando, architectural expression, perspective, website graphics, architectural understanding and expression.
His Color Architecture book is the first specialized book of basic architecture textbooks translated into English in Iran. His Habitat and Climate in Pictures book was nominated for the best Iranian Architecture book of Year. His books entitled Learning Rando and Learning Croquis, have been known as the most published books in Iranian Architecture training. His books have often been praised and acknowledged as the chosen books for universities, competitions and festivals of architectural books.
These include the Learning Rando book with over 70,000 circulations, Learning Croquis book with over 70,000 circulations, and Learning Sketch book with over 40,000 circulations, and in general, his books with more than hundreds of thousands of copies, has had a significant impact on the generalization of sketch training across the country. The author is currently working on publishing more than 10 new books and has been responsible for the artistic and scientific edition of eight new books. Over the years, with the publication of in-person sketches of all places in Iran in the book of croquis, he has introduced the magnificent works of Iranian architecture.
In the collection of drawings of Iranian architectural places and self-talks of Tehran, published by Tehran Municipality, his unique works of sketching chosen by the top Iranian artists, have been published, although these works have been exhibited in the specialized exhibitions to the public. Drawing these works, has led to dozens of prestigious art exhibitions including: Tehran Self-Talks Exhibition, located at the House of Iranian Artists, Barsam Gallery Exhibition, Croquis Exhibition of Saba Institute of Technical and Engineering Events (Wartan House), Pause and Imagination Exhibition, etc. He can certainly be considered as the most accessible and accountable Iranian architecture professor for students.
