روستای گاچو به‌آرامی در آستانه‌ی گسترش است و با توجه به علاقه‌مندی شهروندان غیربومی به سکنی گزیدن در جزیره‌ی قشم، گاچو هم به مرور در آستانه‌ی گسترش، چه بسا نامتوازن، قرار خواهد گرفت. اتفاقی که در شمال کشور سواحل را در نوردید اکنون به صورت خزنده در قشم در حال وقوع است، حضور و هجوم سرمایه به منطقه در حال ایجاد توسعه‌ی نامتوازن است، اتفاقی که حاصل آن را می‌توان در وقوع معماری‌های نامتجانس رنگارنگ در قشم و هرمز احساس کرد، جالب اینجاست که حتی تعریف صحیحی از معماری منطقه نیز در ساخت‌و‌سازهای به ظاهر سنتی ارائه نشده و در عمل حضور بشقاب پرنده‌هایی از اقلیم‌های دیگر را شاهد خواهد بود. گاچو همانند کل قشم از گاز بی‌بهره است و مشکل فرسودگی شبکه برق نیز به صورت فراوان وجود دارد و لذا انرژی یکی از دغدغه‌های اصلی تیم طراحی بوده است. گاچو عملا یک روستای خانوادگی است و همه ساکنان با یکدیگر پیوند دارند و این امر برای طراحان بسیار مهم بوده که حضور معماری جدید مسبب اغتشاش بصری نگردد. پروژه با شرایطی به تیم طراحی واگذار شد که یک بنای فرسوده کوچک در حدود 40 مترمربع در آن وجود داشت. با توجه به قرارگیری سایت پروژه در جزیره‌ی زیبا و کهن قشم که خود دارای پیشینه‌ی معماری سنتی جنوب است اصول به شرح زیر پیش از شروع به طراحی توسط طراحان در نظر گرفته شد.
سه اصل اولیه‌ی در نظر گرفته‌شده پیش از طراحی کانسپت:
-ارائه‌ی الگوی مناسب برای گسترش بافت روستایی و ساخت‌و‌سازهای آتی با توجه به قرارگیری سایت پروژه در ورودی اصلی روستا
-تاکید بر استفاده از الگوها و تکنیک‌های محلی به جهت کاهش مصرف انرژی ساختمان در فصول میانی (پسیو هاوس)
– پرهیز از هرگونه حضور ناهمگون در بستر طرح و رعایت آرامش بصری ساکنین محلی و استفاده از ارجاعات ساده به معماری سنتی روستا.

Gacho village is slowly on the verge of expansion, and due to the interest of non-native citizens to settle in Qeshm Island, Gacho will eventually be on the verge of uneven expansion. The incident that hit the coasts in the north of the country is now creeping up in Qeshm. The presence and influx of capital to the region is creating unbalanced development. The result of which can be felt in the occurrence of colorful incongruous architectures in Qeshm and Hormuz, it is interesting that even a correct definition of the architecture of the region is not presented in the apparently traditional constructions and in practice it will witness the presence of UFO›s from other climates, Like the whole of Qeshm, Gacho lacks gas, and there is a lot of wear and tear on the electricity network, so energy has been one of the main concerns of the design team. Gacho is practically a family village and all residents are connected to each other and this It was very important for designers that the presence of new architecture does not cause visual disturbances.
The project was handed over to the design team with the condition that there was a small dilapidated building of about 40 square meters. Considering the location of the project site in the beautiful and ancient island of Qeshm, which itself has a background of traditional southern architecture, the following principles were initially considered by the designers before starting the design. – Providing a suitable model for expanding the rural context and future constructions in the village due to the location of the project site at the main entrance of the village. – Emphasizing the use of local patterns and techniques in order to reduce the energy consumption of the building in the middle seasons (passive house). – Avoiding any heterogeneous presence in the context of the design and respecting the visual comfort of the local residents and using simple references to the traditional architecture of the village.
-Applying salvaged or recycled materials into the project to reduce the embodied carbon of the project, this entails usage of materials like dried palm leaves or old wooden parts of local sailing retired boats.
