Hotel History
At the beginning of the first Pahlavi period (after 1304 AD), the town of “Shemshak” and area around it was a coal mine and it was used for fueling and moving trains. The Germans were assisted in extraction activities, and a power generation center and buildings were built for their residence in Shemshak. The Power Generation Center was completed in 1305 and the Dorm Mansion was finished and utilized in 1312, but after a few years, with changes in technology and fuel production in Iran, the power generation and dormitory mansion was shut down.
In the second Pahlavi period, they decided to build a ski resort in Shemshak City and a hotel for guests to stay. In June 1965, the German company “Tonberg” came to the area for the construction of the hotel, reserved the building of the power generation station and built the hotel in three floors above it. The hotel was active until after the Islamic Revolution until it was shut down in the 1980s. In 1394, a privately-owned company invested in this project and managed to rebuild the hotel after two and a half years of operations at the international standards level. They transformed the dormitory building into a restaurant complex and in 2018 the complex was officially opened as the First Botique Hotel of Iran. The walls, doors, windows, ceiling and wall lights and many of the hotel’s furnishings have been refurbished with great care in its original form.
Cheraghan Restaurant
Cheraghan Restaurant belongs to Shemshak Boutique Hotel, a restaurant with a variety of Iranian and European cuisines and has been formed in a beautiful and historic setting. The design and interior decoration of the restaurant is unique and it is distinctive in terms of architectural style in Iran.
The restaurant is 600 square meters and has a capacity of 100 guests. The large terrace of the restaurant also offers guests access to the mountainous landscapes surrounding the complex.
Rooms of the Hotel
Shemshak Hotel Boutique has 12 double rooms and 4 triplex suites. All hotel rooms are different in terms of size, shape and interior and landscape depending on the location of the building. The bathrooms are designed according to the world standards and their accessories are from the best European products. The rooms have an audio and video system and guests can use the mini-bar service and the facilities of the restaurant and coffee shop inside the room.

Shemshak Boutique Hotel has a restaurant and coffee shop and a massage room. The hotel’s facilities also offer special rooms for seminars and specialized training and film show rooms for 30 people.
Due to the proximity of Shemshak Boutique Hotel to three international ski resorts (right next to Shemshak ski resort, 5 minutes away from Darbandsar ski resort and 10 minutes away from Dizin ski resort) and Maygoon Ice Climbing School which is only 5 minutes away, is a perfect place for skiers and guests staying in winter and early spring.
The mountains and beautiful scenery around the hotel are perfect places for walking, mountain hikers and nature enthusiasts in the summer and fall.
