دفتر معماری تریس آرکیتکچر آفیس، آمفی‌تئاتر آرانیا را طراحی کرده است که مشرف به خط ساحلی چین است.

سه تماشاخانه‌ی ساحلی

دفتر معماری TAO مجموعه‌ی تئاتر آرانیا (Aranya Theater Complex) را در زمینی با شکلی نامنظم در اقامتگاه ساحلی آرانیا در استان هِبِی (Hebei) چین معرفی کرده است. این سایت از سه طرف با ساختمان‌های مسکونی احاطه شده و از سوی دیگر از میان تپه‌های شنی به سمت دریا باز می‌شود. با توجه به این موقعیت، تیم طراحی تلاش کرده است تا رابطه‌ای میان تئاتر و دریا، خیابان‌ها و بافت شهری حفظ کند و در عین حال فضایی عمومی، دعوت‌کننده و تازه برای شهر به وجود آورد.

این ساختمان شامل سه تماشاخانه است: تئاتر فِنگ‌چاو (Fengchao Theater)، تئاتر A و تئاتر دیونیسوس (Dionysus Theater)، که هر کدام در گوشه‌ای از سایت قرار دارند. دو ساختمان مستطیل‌شکل — تئاتر فِنگ‌چاو و تئاتر A — توسط لابی‌ای در میان به هم متصل می‌شوند که تا بافت شهری امتداد می‌یابد. آمفی‌تئاتر سنگی روباز دیونیسوس در گوشه‌ی سایت قرار گرفته و خیابان‌های دو سوی خود را به هم پیوند می‌دهد و فضای شهری را به درون سایت می‌کشاند.
با تقسیم یک حجم بسیار بزرگ به سه بخش کوچک‌تر، این اثر به شکلی هماهنگ در بستر شهری ادغام می‌شود.

هر یک از سه تماشاخانه‌ی دفتر معماری TAO در آرانیا با عملکردی خاص طراحی شده است. این مجموعه فضاهایی چندمنظوره برای گونه‌های مختلف اجرا در اختیار جامعه قرار می‌دهد و هدف آن ایجاد جامعه‌ای متنوع و پویا برای همه است. تئاتر فِنگ‌چاو با ۳۰۰ صندلی برای اجرای نمایش‌های دراماتیک استفاده می‌شود و مجهز به تجهیزات حرفه‌ای و محیط آکوستیکی بهینه است. تئاتر A با ظرفیت ۵۵۰ صندلی، فضایی بزرگ و باشکوه است که تجربه‌ی بهتری برای تماشاگران فراهم می‌آورد. این فضا می‌تواند پاسخ‌گوی انواع کارکردها باشد، از اجرای تئاتر و کنسرت گرفته تا نمایشگاه، اجراهای نمایشی، نمایش خودرو و موارد مشابه.

تئاتر دیونیسوس که رو به دریا قرار دارد، به عنوان فضایی روباز برای اجرا طراحی شده است. زمانی که در آن اجرایی برگزار نمی‌شود، نقش میدان شهری در گوشه‌ی خیابان را ایفا می‌کند. با عملکردهایی چون اجرا، گردهمایی، استراحت و تماشای دریا، تئاتر دیونیسوس به مرکز اجتماعی تازه‌ی شهر تبدیل شده است. در عین حال، این فضا امکان انعطاف برای دکورهای متفاوت و موقعیت‌های گوناگون صحنه را در اختیار اجراگران می‌گذارد. تیم طراحی اشاره می‌کند که ماهیت معماری تئاتر، در پرداختن به رابطه‌ی میان تماشاگر و اجراگر نهفته است. برخلاف تئاتر سنتی که فضایی بسته دارد، ایده‌ی اصلی در اینجا بر گشودن تئاتر است، جایی که صحنه دریا و شهر را به عنوان پس‌زمینه‌ی خود در بر می‌گیرد. صحنه‌ی نمایش در کنار منظره‌ی واقعی زندگی شهری قرار می‌گیرد و تئاتری منحصربه‌فرد در کنار دریا خلق می‌کند. از این‌رو، در تئاتر فنگ‌چاو دری بزرگ در پشت صحنه گشوده شده است تا بازیگران بتوانند از خیابان وارد صحنه شوند. به این ترتیب، شهر به امتدادی از صحنه تبدیل می‌شود و تجربه‌ای فراگیر و غوطه‌ورکننده را برای مخاطب به وجود می‌آورد.

THREE SEASIDE THEATERS

trace architecture office (TAO) introduces its aranya theater complex along an irregular-shaped site at aranya, a seaside resort in hebei, china. the site is surrounded by residential buildings on three sides, and overlooks the sea across the dunes. with this in mind, the team sought to maintain a relationship between its theater and the sea, streets, and urban context, while shaping an inviting, new public space for the town. The building consists of three theaters: the fengchao theater, A theater, and dionysus theater, each of which occupies a corner of the site. the two rectangular buildings — the fengchao theater and A theater — are connected by the lobby in the middle, extending into the urban fabric. the outdoor stone dionysus amphitheater is located at the corner, connecting the streets on both sides and bringing the urban space inside. by breaking up an excessively large volume into three smaller units, the work integrates harmoniously into the urban context.

THE DISTINCT FUNCTIONS

each of trace architecture office (TAO)‘s three theaters in aranya is designed with a specific function. the complex provides multi-functional places suitable for different forms of performance for the community, and aims to create a diverse and vibrant community for all. the 300-seat fengchao theater is used for drama performances, with professional equipment and an optimized acoustic environment. The 550-seat A theater is a large and solemn space that provides better experiences for its audience. the space can meet the needs of a range of functions from theatrical performances, to concerts, exhibitions, performance shows, auto shows, and the like.

TRACE ARCHITECTURE RETHINKS THE ROLE OF THE THEATER

facing the sea, the dionysus theater functions as an outdoor performance space. while not being used for performances, it serves as a city square on the corner of the street. with the functions of performance, gathering, relaxation, and sea viewing, the dionysus theater is the new social center of the town. meanwhile, it provides performers with a flexible space for different stage sets and positions. The team notes that the essence of theater architecture is to deal with the relationship between audience and performers. unlike the traditional theater which is an enclosed space, the initial concept was to open up the theater where the stage takes the sea and the city as background. the stage set is juxtaposed with the real scene of city life, creating a unique seaside theater. thus, a wide door opens up the rear of the stage in the fengchao theater, allowing actors to enter the stage from the street. the city becomes an extension of the stage, creating an immersive experience.
