خانه پیرامون خور*، در شمال غرب شیراز در باغ های شهری شهرک گویم، در زمینی به مساحت 2000 متر مربع واقع شده است. محدوده ای که یکی از مقاصد مردم شیراز جهت ساخت ویلا یا همان به اصطلاح خانه های آخر هفته‌ی خود می‌باشد و با گسترش شهر به سمت شمال غرب اکنون بخشی از شهرداری شیراز است. کارفرمای پروژه جهت طراحی و ساخت یک ویلای دوطبقه و با وجود یک سری مداخلات در سایت، به ما مراجعه کرد.

در اولین برخورد با پروژه، معماران معمولا با این سوال مواجه می‌شوند که آیا می‌توان به نتیجه آن امیدوار بود یا خیر. در این پروژه، پاسخ اولیه منفی بود. با وجود اقدامات انجام شده توسط کارفرما و مخالفت او با اولین پیشنهادات ما در زمینه دخل و تصرف‌های مورد نیاز، قدرت مانور معمار در ابتدا از دست رفته دیده می‌شد. کارفرما با ساخت یک آلاچیق گرد در سبک کلاسیک، یک استخر با فرم لوبیایی شکل با جکوزی و یک سایه بان با سلیقه شخصی خود و به جهت تمهیدات تاسیساتی که برای آن استخر و جکوزی دیده بود، روی خوشی به تغییرات مد نظر معمار نشان نمی‌داد. بنابراین تلاش گروه بر محاط کردن یک استخر کم عمق به دور استخر موجود بافرم لوبیایی و محاط کردن این ساختمان ویلایی به دور استخر کم عمق متمرکز شد.

این قاب‌بندی توسط استخر جدید و ساختمان، ارتباط مناسبی با کناره‌های باغ و فضای اطراف ایجاد کرد.با اجرای ضلع سوم استخر در ارتفاع و رنگ متریال ساختمان، گروه طراحی توانست استخر بزرگ را به عنوان یک فضای منفی در میانه‌ی فضاهای عملکردی جای دهد. همین امکان با توجه به عرض کم، به پشت بام هم کمک کرد که دید کامل را از سمت باغ داشته باشد. با حفظ استخر موجود، توانستیم موافقت تبدیل آلاچیق کلاسیک به یک سازه چادری مدور در سبک مدرن و درترکیب با فرم لوبیایی استخرو تبدیل جکوزی به محل قرارگیری یک المان عمودی، که یک درخت نخل بود، را از کارفرما دریافت کنیم. یک داد و ستد رضایت بخش برای هر دو طرف که برای تیم ما این نوع مذاکره بسیار آموزنده بود. در نهایت این استخر بود که به عنوان یک هسته، ویلای اطراف خود را به صورت یک جعبه هم ارتفاع و همگن تعریف کرد تا خود مهمترین عضو این ترکیب باشد.

از طرفی کارفرما تمایل به ساخت ویلایی دو طبقه در این زمین داشت. اما ما، ساختمان دو طبقه را به شکل یک طبقه روی زمین و یک طبقه زیرزمین پیشنهاد دادیم. پیشنهادی که به چنارهای دو طرف ساختمان و صنوبرها فرصت خودنمایی می‌داد. در این پیشنهاد، فضاهای مورد استفاده مهمانان، سالن ورزشی چند منظوره، استخر و سونا در زیرزمین قرار گرفت. ارتباط داخلی بین طبقات از طریق یک پله فلزی گرد، با رنگی خاص و متفاوت از سایر فضاها که در فرآیند اجرا ساخته و جایگذاری شده بود، شکل گرفت.

محل قرارگیری توده، ورودی و در نهایت فرم ساختمان به شکلی در نظر گرفته شد که دید فضاهای مهم ویلا مانند پذیرایی و اتاق خواب اصلی به استخر باشد. در پذیرایی به علت متراژ بیشتر، امکان دید دو طرفه هم به استخر و هم به پشت ساختمان وجود داشت. پشت ویلا فضایی جهت ارتباط با آشپزخانه درنظر گرفته شد. سایر اتاق‌های خواب هم در قاب دید خود درختان چنار با پس زمینه دیوار سنگی محوطه را داشتند. ویلا به دلیل داشتن تنها یک طبقه روی زمین، نیاز به ارتباط قوی‌تری با پشت بام داشت تا از آن به عنوان نشیمن استفاده شود. از سوی دیگر، انعکاس فضای جعبه پله ی پشت بام می‌بایست در سمت دیگری از ساختمان انتقال کاربر به طبقه پایین را ممکن می‌کرد.

*خور: به شاخه‌ای از دریا گفته می‌شود که به خشکی داخل شده باشد.

The House Around The Bay, located in the northwest of Shiraz within the urban gardens of Gouyom, sits on a 2000-square-meter plot. This area, now part of Shiraz municipality due to the city’s northwestern expansion, is a popular destination for Shiraz residents to build villas or weekend homes. The client approached us to design and build a two-story villa despite having already made some site interventions.

In initial encounters with a project, architects often wonder whether the outcome will be promising. For this project, the initial response was negative. Due to the client’s prior actions and resistance to our initial suggestions for necessary modifications, the architects’ maneuvering power seemed limited. The client had already built a round classic-style gazebo, a bean-shaped pool with a jacuzzi, and a personal-style sunshade, showing little interest in the proposed changes. Thus, our focus shifted to surrounding the existing bean-shaped pool with a new shallow pool and wrapping the villa around this new pool.

This framing by the new pool and the building established a suitable connection with the garden’s edges and the surrounding space. By implementing a third side of the pool at an elevation and using the building’s material color, the design team positioned the large pool as a negative space amid functional areas. This setup, considering the narrow width, also allowed the rooftop to have a complete view from the garden. By preserving the existing pool, we negotiated with the client to transform the classic gazebo into a modern-style circular tent structure, integrating it with the pool’s bean shape and converting the jacuzzi into a spot for a vertical element, a palm tree. This negotiation was a satisfactory exchange for both parties and a valuable learning experience for our team. Ultimately, the pool became the core, defining the surrounding villa as a uniform, box-like structure, making it the most crucial component of the composition.

Additionally, the client desired a two-story villa on this land. However, we proposed a single-story building with a basement. This proposal allowed the plane trees on either side of the building and the poplars to stand out. In this design, guest spaces, a multi-purpose gym, a pool, and a sauna were located in the basement. The internal connection between the floors was facilitated by a spiral metal staircase, distinct in color from the other spaces, constructed and placed during the execution process.

The building’s placement, entrance, and final form were designed to ensure views from key villa areas, such as the living room and master bedroom, overlooked the pool. Due to its larger size, the living room had dual views of both the pool and the rear of the building. A space was allocated at the back of the villa for connection to the kitchen. Other bedrooms had views of plane trees with the stone wall of the yard as the backdrop. The villa, with only one above-ground floor, required a stronger connection to the rooftop to use it as a living space. Additionally, the rooftop stairwell’s reflection needed to facilitate user transition to the lower floor from another part of the building.
